I am currently employed at a soccer club. Today we found out (after running background checks 3 months late) that one of our coaches is a registered *** offender - for sexual assault against a child. When employed I signed a contract stating that I wouldn’t share information about the organization. I am turning in my resignation tomorrow, however, I do not want my family registering their children with this negligent organization. Can I legally tell them about this situation, since a registered *** offender is public knowledge? Or would I be in breach of my contract?
